Yogi Babu goes to the next level in cinema – Hot details

Yogi Babu started his career playing bit roles in ‘Lollu Sabha’ television show and many movies as well.  He caught the imagination of Tamil audiences after playing “Panni Moonji Vaaya” in the super hit comedy horror ‘Yamirukka Bayame” and later as a thief in Manikandan’s ‘Kaaka Muttai’.  There was no turning back after that as soon he became the most sought after comedy actor in Kollywood.

Yogi Babu then turned hero and playing the lead in many hits such as ‘Ghurkha’, ‘Kolamavu Kokila’ and  ‘Mandela’.  He also balanced his career by playing supporting comic roles with all the top stars.  He currently has more than two dozen films as hero and comedian.

Meanwhile Yogi Babu has now turned screenwriter for a new movie in which he also plays the lead.  The formal pooja was conducted at the Vadapalani Murugan Temple in Chennai.  The film directed by Ramesh Subramaniam has Samaskruthi Shenoy as the leading lady and is produced by Lemon Leaf Productions.  Shooting is expected to begin in November and the rest of the cast and crew details will be out soon.
