‘Champion’ Scores a Promising Start at the Box Office

Actor Roshan Meka has begun his latest cinematic outing on a positive note, with Champion opening to decent reviews and encouraging box-office numbers. Directed by Pradeep Advaitam, the period action war drama has been mounted on an impressive scale under the experienced production of Swapna Cinema.

Starring Malayalam actress Anaswara Rajan as the female lead, Champion registered a strong Day 1 performance. The film reportedly collected close to Rs. 2 crore gross in the Nizam region alone, while its worldwide gross stands at approximately Rs. 4.5 crore. Notably, this marks the highest opening in Roshan Meka’s career so far, signaling growing audience interest and acceptance.

Positive word of mouth, coupled with steady ticket sales, has worked in the film’s favour. Trade circles are optimistic that collections will witness further growth over the weekend, provided the momentum continues.

The film also features Nandamuri Kalyana Chakravarthy, Murali Sharma, Santosh Pratap, and others in key supporting roles. Champion is co-produced by Zee Studios, Anandi Art Creations, and Concept Films, while the music is composed by Mickey J Meyer.
