Yashika Aannand on Saturday night met with an accident on East Coast Road, Mahabalipuram in Chennai. Her friend Pavani Died on the spot and others were severely injured. After basic first aid, they were taken to a private hospital for further treatment.

Yashika suffered from multiple bone fractures and underwent surgery today. Her sister Osheen Aannand took to Twitter and penned an emotional note. She wrote "hello everyone thank you for your prayers a@yashikaaannanid is conscious now and one other surgery is done successfully by gods grace she is currently in ICU and further surgeries of her multiple fractures will be done in quite a few days please keep praying for her"

Many celebrities took to Twitter to wish her a speedy recovery. Director-turned-actor S.J.Suryah also penned a tweet that reads, 'Friends U all know @iamyashikaanand a great looking girl….But we know she is an awesome performer too… KADAMAIYAI SEI will be the right beginning of her journey as a performer…..get well soon Yashika to be where you have to be…prayers.'
