Vijay Deverakonda was recently in a conversation with Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, the spiritual exponent. And the 'Geetha Govindam' actor asked some relevant questions that are nagging many Indians.
"Is patriotism good?" is one such question. To this, Jaggi Vasudev answered that patriotism is important because we need to invest the emotion of patriotism in nation-building. "When we can't make a family without emotion, how can we make a nation of 1.25 billion people without some emotional investment?" the spiritual guru asked Deverakonda.
Next, the actor asked if it's right to be proud of one's caste, religion, etc. At this, the Sadhguru painted caste as a knowledge-transfer mechanism. That said, the Sadhguru added, all kinds of caste-based discrimination and exclusions must go.
