“Who Gave Them the Right?” – Aranthangi Nisha Urges Minister Anbil Mahesh to Act on Student Assault

A disturbing video of a fifth-grade student being beaten with a broom by a female nutrition staff member at a government school in Tamil Nadu has gone viral, triggering widespread outrage. The child was allegedly assaulted simply for asking for an egg as part of the midday meal.

Reacting strongly to the incident, popular Vijay TV personality Aranthangi Nisha took to Instagram to condemn the act and demand justice. Sharing the viral video, she voiced her anger and disbelief:

“It is absolutely condemnable that a 5th-grade student was beaten by the school’s cooking staff just for asking for nutritious food. Teachers are meant to correct students for their growth—but how can others lay hands on them? Who gave them this right?”

She also made a direct appeal to Tamil Nadu’s Minister of School Education, Anbil Mahesh, urging him to not only dismiss the individuals involved but to ensure they receive appropriate punishment.

As the video continues to circulate, public pressure is mounting for swift and stern action against those responsible for the shocking incident. Many are calling for systemic reforms to prevent such abuse in schools.
