In a shocking news, a video footage of an indigenous who has been living alone for 22 years have surfaced the web. Reportedly, the tribe of the Amazon man was murdered 22 years back. Being termed as the ‘world’s lonliest man’, the man could be seen cutting a tree with an axe in the video.
The interesting part is that the Brazilian government has been monitoring the man since 1996 to prove that he is alive. In addition to this, the government also has renewed land restriction orders to help protect the man who is said to be in his 50s.
He uses bow and arrow to hunt. The other members of his tribe were killed by land grabbing cattle ranchers years ago. He is also referred to as the ‘indigenous man in the hole’ who usually spends his time hunting birds, pigs and monkeys.
His name or the name of his tribe is unknown, but he has extended his territory to 8,070 hectares to maintain his lifestyle. He also has managed to maintain his own plantation, and grows papaya as well. Conservation groups have been monitoring him since 1996, but only been flimed once before this footage came out. The shocking fact is that there are atleast 113 uncontacted tribes living in Amazon forests.
