Latest buzz doing rounds in Kollywood is that actor Vikram has accepted to play the negative role in Endhiran 2`which is in pre-production stage. This highly expected sequel to the 2010 Rajinikanth starrer blockbuster will be directed by the man of midas touch` Shankar and retain the superstar as the hero.

Many news reports suggested that Shankar wanted to cast Rajinikanth`s contemporary Kamal Haasan as the baddie in the film, but the latter did not accept the offer. Then it was said that the director is in talks with Vikram who has worked with him in two blockbusters Anniyan` and I`, to play the villain of Rajinikanth in Endhiran 2`.

Now unconfirmed sources say that Shankar has succeeded in convincing Vikram to take up the antagonist role has as much importance as the protagonist of the film.

It`s better to wait for an official confirmation though.

Endhiran 2` will be the highest budgeted Tamil film ever which will be produced by Ayngaran International and distributed by Lyca Entertainments and it is slated to go on floors in early 2016.
