Vijay, who recently returned to Chennai from Georgia after wrapping up the first schedule of his upcoming film, the untitled Thalapathy 65, directed by Nelson. The actor paid a visit to deceased actor Vivek's house early this morning.
Soon after his arrival from Georgia, Vijay paid a visit to late actor Vivek's family to convey his heartfelt condolences and pray for the deceased comedian. The news was confirmed by the Master actor's PR manager, who shared the information through his official page on social media. Vijay was unable to make it to Chennai and attend the funeral of Vivek due to travel restrictions amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Legendary actor/comedian Vivek passed away on April 16 upon being admitted to a private hospital in Chennai the previous day after he suffered a massive heart attack. Celebrities from across the country and fans of the beloved actor offered their condolences and expressed their grief over his passing.
Vijay and Vivek have acted together in numerous movies and the duo last shared the screen in the 2019 sports drama film 'Bigil,' directed by Atlee. The two actors also appeared together in Thamizhan (2002), Kuruvi (2008), Kushi (2000), Thirumalai (2003), Aathi (2006), Badri (2001), Youth (2002) and Shahjahan (2001), among other films.
