Vijay Sethupathi makes sure that he captivates the audience every time he appears on the big screen either as a hero or a villain. He is now gearing up for his next Bollywood biggie, 'Merry Christmas', following his deadly portrayal of Shah Rukh Khan's villain in 'Jawan'. Now, the release date of Merry Christmas is shuffled to a new date.
Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif are pairing up in this upcoming black comedy thriller directed by Sriram Raghavan of 'Badlapur' and 'Andhadhun' fame. Jointly bankrolled by Tips Films and Matchbox Pictures, the movie was initially slated to hit the screens on December 15. Now, the release date is preponed as Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dunki' and Prabhas' 'Salaar' are coming to cinemas on December 22.
Merry Christmas will now release on December 8th in Hindi and Tamil, clashing with the Siddharth Malhotra starrer 'Yodha' at the box office. It is worth mentioning that Dhanush's 'Captain Miller' is set to be released on December 15th. Notably,Merry Christmas marks the first direct film in Tamil for Katrina Kaif and Sriram Raghavan.
