Vijay’s ‘Mersal’ achieves another milestone

A few weeks ago Thalapathy Vijay's 'Mersal' created a new history by becoming the First South Indian film to have a Twitter Emoji. Whenever you type #Mersal in Twitter, the 'Mersal' emoji would automatically appear on the screen.

Now 'Mersal' has achieved another glory The makers have acquired a Trademark for the title 'Mersal'. This means anyone uses the word 'Mersal' for commercial purposes will have to pay loyalty to the owners of the Trademark that is the Producers of the film which is Thenandal Studios banner. 

'Mersal' is the First South Indian film to be trademarked. They have treated 'Mersal' as a product and hence acquired a trademark successfully

It is to be noted that  the owners Thenandal Studios Limited have also acquired a trademark for their banner/

'Mersal' is Vijay's 61st film directed by Atlee. The film has music score by A.R.Rahman and it is expected to hit the screens in October 2017 for Diwali festival.
