The Indian airforce ventured out into Pakistan occupied Kashmir and Pakistan early morning today, crossing the Line of Control, and launched a massive attack on the terror camps that had their bases in various parts of the area, destroying many terrorists in the process.
Following this unexpected surgical strike 2, Vijay Gokhale, the secretary of External affairs ministry briefed the press on what went behind and how the attack was planned. He said that the Jihadis who were trained for Fidayeen attacks were killed, and the establishment in Balakot was headed by Maulana Yousuf Azhar, brother in law of Chief of Jaish E Mohammed, Massoud Azhar. He said that this non military preemptive action was specifically targeted at Jaish E Mohammed, while also careful in ensuring there were no civilian casualties.
