This Series Made Me Realize I Should Be More Friendly With My Kids – Rajeev Kanakala

The team of ‘D/O Prasad Rao Kanabadutaledhu’, currently streaming on ZEE5, celebrated the series’ success with a grand meet after it crossed 100 million streaming minutes within just one week of release. Directed by Poluru Krishna and produced by K. V. Sriram, the emotionally driven series has received strong appreciation from audiences for its performances and relatable story.

Cinematographer K. Mahesh Kumar expressed happiness about the response and said he was glad to be part of the successful collaboration between producer Sriram and director Krishna. He also thanked the artists and the ZEE5 team for their support.

Actor Raag Satya recalled predicting the success during the pre-release event itself. He said that ever since the series premiered on February 27, he has been receiving constant calls praising the emotional scenes. He added that the director played a key role in shaping the performances and thanked the ZEE5 team for their encouragement.

Actors Dr. Prasad Rao and Koteswara Rao also spoke about the positive response the series has been receiving from viewers. They praised director Poluru Krishna’s storytelling and the strong technical work, especially the cinematography.

Actresses Bindu Chandramouli and Vasanthika shared their gratitude for being part of the project. They appreciated the clarity and vision of director Krishna and said the series highlights important family issues, particularly the communication gap between parents and children.

ZEE5 Telugu Head Jayanth Raghavan said the platform is having a successful phase in 2026 and described February as a “Fantastic February.” He noted that the series may have the word Kanabadutaledhu in the title, but it will remain visible and memorable for audiences for a long time.

Director Poluru Krishna thanked the media, ZEE5 team, and the entire cast and crew for their support. He particularly appreciated the performances of Rajeev Kanakala, Udaya Bhanu, Bindu Chandramouli, and Vasanthika.

Producer K. V. Sriram explained that the story explores the emotional bond between fathers and children and the communication gap that sometimes exists within families.

Actor Rajeev Kanakala thanked the media for their encouraging reviews and praised his co-actors for their performances. He said the emotional climax deeply moved him and made him realize that he should also be more open and friendly with his own children.
