Thalapathy Vijay’s 69th film is in the news as speculations abound regarding its director. Vetrimaaran, Karthik Subbaraj, Atlee, and H Vinod are among the names being considered, with Vetrimaran reportedly leading the pack.
Vetrimaran met with Vijay and narrated the story online, and later in person for an hour. Vijay was reportedly impressed with the narrative style and has given his nod for the film. Before finalizing Vetrimaran, Vijay is also planning to discuss the project with Karthik Subbaraj and Vinod.
Given Vijay’s increasing involvement in politics, it is speculated that his last film should have a political theme, making Vetrimaran a strong contender for the director’s chair.
However, an official announcement from Vijay’s side is awaited to confirm the director of ‘Thalapathy 69’. With the shooting of Vijay’s current film ‘G.O.A.T’ nearing completion, it is expected that an announcement regarding ‘Thalapathy 69’ will be made soon.
