Vetrimaaran Welcomes Vijay Sethupathi to Arasan – Simbu’s Deadliest Avatar Yet!

Tamil cinema’s leading director Vetrimaaran’s new film Arasan will star actor Silambarasan in the lead role. The makers of this action-thriller officially introduced actor Vijay Sethupathi yesterday, and the announcement has received a massive welcome from fans.

Though set in the same world as Vetrimaaran’s Vadachennai, the director had earlier clarified that this is not Vadachennai 2. However, this new story from the same universe is expected to feature Simbu in a double role. The film’s promo video showed Simbu wielding an axe and involved in murder scenes, which has greatly excited fans.Vijay Sethupathi’s inclusion is certain to elevate the film’s acting standards even further. Vetrimaaran welcomed him on his social media with the words: “Humanity connects, greatness is revealed.”The film’s music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

Other key cast members include Andrea Jeremiah, Samuthirakani, and Kishore. It is also reported that director Nelson will make a cameo appearance. Produced by Kalanithi Maran’s V Creations (under the banner of Kalaippuli S. Thanu), shooting for the film began yesterday. The team aims to complete filming within three months, targeting a summer release next year.

Following Simbu’s recent successful films like Maanadu, Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu, Pathu Thala, and now with the victory of Thug Life, fans strongly believe Arasan will be his next big hit. The film has also been announced for release in Telugu apart from Tamil.
