'Viduthalai' is yet another ambitious project by the maverick filmmaker Vetrimaaran. The film was split into two parts just before the first part's release. Following the success of 'Viduthalai 1', the maker is now busy filming the sequel. Now, we have hot updates on Viduthalai Part 2 shooting.

Viduthalai stars Soori as a constable while it has Vijay Sethupathi playing Vaathiyar, an important head in the People's Army. As per the latest reports, Vijay Sethupathi's portions have been extended in Viduthalai Part 2 and it revolves around his character. The team were shooting till 30th July in Sirumalai. And, they are left with around 40 days of filming.

The rest of the film will be shot in various places in Tamil Nadu. Viduthalai Part 2 is aiming for a theatrical release on Republic Day (January 26th), 2024. The sequel additionally stars Prakash Raj, Vijay Sethupathi's son Surya while Soori, Vijay Sethupathi, Bhavani Sre, Chethan, Gautham Menon, Tamizh and others reprise their roles. It has music by Ilaiyaraaja.
