Vetrimaaran after delivering the critical and commercially successful blockbusters 'Vada Chennai' and 'Asuran' back to back is now in the top league of directors in Tamil and Indian cinema.  His next directorial ventures are 'Pattampoochi Pidippavan' starring Soori as the hero and  Suriya's fortieth film.

Vetrimaaran is also producing a new movie to be directed by one of his associates who is making his debut.  The film has Andrea Jeremiah and Lovelyn Chandrasekhar in the lead roles and is said to be a powerful female-oriented subject.  Andrea already received high praise for her authentic portrayal of an avenging North Chennai woman in Vetri's 'Vada Chennai'.  

Lovelyn is the daughter of actress Viji Chandrasekhar who made her debut in Lakshmi Ramakrishnan's 'House Owner'.  The rest of the cast and crew details will be announced soon by Grass Roots Films Company.
