Vetrimaaran’s strong decision about acting in films

Vetrimaaran one of the most highly rated filmmakers in not only Tamil cinema but all over the country has huge fanbase.  Thanks to his sharp features several directors have expressed their interest to cast him in their films.  Similarly in a recent press interaction director Ameer a close friend also said that he would like to make a movie with Vetrimaaran in the lead.

Vetrimaaran in his speech stated that film acting and direction are two entirely different creative streams and only a few can handle both simultaneously.  He revealed that he does not have that in him and even though he knows how to act he has no intention of appearing in front of the camera for now.

Vetrimaaran is currently directing ‘Viduthalai 2’ starring Vijay Sethupathi, Manju Warrier, Soori and Bhavani Sre.  He has announced that he will begin shooting for the much anticipated ‘Vaadivaasal’ starring Suriya and Ameer after that.  Vetrimaaran is also presenting the new movie ‘Mayavalai’ directed and produced by Ameer that has Sathya and Sanjana Shetty in the lead with Yuvan Shankar Raja scoring the music.
