Rakul Preet Singh Breaks Silence on Income Tax Search Reports

Popular Indian actress Rakul Preet Singh, who has worked extensively across Hindi, Telugu and Tamil cinema, has responded to recent media reports and speculation surrounding Income Tax search operations.

The actress has strongly denied reports linking her personally to any alleged financial irregularities and said that the search operation in question was not related to her. Expressing disappointment over what she described as unverified and sensationalized reporting, Rakul said that such reports could negatively impact an individual’s reputation and professional life.

In her statement, Rakul highlighted her background in an Armed Forces family and said that she entered the film industry without a godfather, building her career through hard work. She also stated that she has been a responsible taxpayer since the age of 20.

Addressing the allegations directly, the actress clarified that she has not been involved in any illegal foreign remittances, either in her personal capacity or on behalf of any production house. She further denied holding any benami properties in India or abroad and said that she has never accepted expensive properties as gifts.

Rakul also urged media organizations and individuals who published what she described as false or speculative reports to retract the claims and publish clarifications.

The actress acknowledged the commercial pressures faced by media organizations but maintained that such pressures should not come at the expense of factual reporting or an individual’s reputation and livelihood.

Rakul Preet Singh reiterated that she remains committed to complying with all legal and financial obligations as a taxpayer and citizen. Through her statement, the actress has sought to put her position on record and distance herself from reports linking her to alleged financial violations.
