Veteran Tamil actor ‘Super Good’ Subramani, known for his memorable character roles over a career spanning three decades, passed away today at the age of 58. He had been receiving treatment for cancer over the past few months at the Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital in Chennai.
Subramani earned the nickname ‘Super Good’ after his long association with Super Good Films, and became a familiar face in Tamil cinema through supporting roles. One of his standout performances was in the critically acclaimed film Sarpatta Parambarai, which brought him renewed recognition.
In recent months, as his health declined, several members of the Tamil film fraternity stepped in to provide financial support for his treatment. Despite being in intensive care for the past week, Subramani sadly breathed his last today.
He is survived by his wife, a daughter who is currently in 11th grade, and a son studying in 9th grade.
News of his passing has led to an outpouring of grief from fans and fellow artists, who are remembering him for his humility, dedication, and contribution to Tamil cinema. Tributes continue to pour in across social media platforms.
