After a slew of underwhelming films. Young actor Vemal is in bad need of a break in his Kollywood career. Looks like this talented actor will get that through the sequel to the biggest hit of his career.

Yes, it has been confirmed that Vemal and director Sarkunam who made his debut with the all class super hit rural entertainer 'Kalavani' will be teaming up soon for its sequel.

Sarkunam is currently writing the script for the sequel. He also has to complete a film he has committed with Madhavan in the lead. So 'Kalavani 2' can be expected to go on floors by February 2017.

We have to wait for more official details on this project but as of now it is exciting to know that 'Kalavani' one of the most memorable films of the recent years will have a sequel.

This will be Vemal's third film director Sarkunam. The last film they worked together was the period flick 'Vaagai Sooda Vaa' which was critically acclaimed and won the National Award for the Best Tamil Film of the year 2011.
