Marimuthu is a renowned director and character artist in the Tamil industry. He has worked in numerous films as an assistant director before directing two films and turning into a notable actor. The veteran passed away at the age of 57 on Friday.
Marimuthu attained huge fame and fan following for playing the 'Aadhi Gunasekaran' role in the Sun TV soap opera, 'Ethirneechal'. Reportedly, the actor was dubbing for the same serial on the day of his death. Discussion ignited on social media about the actor who is going to replace Marimuthu in AGS role in the Ethirneechal serial.
On Saturday, reports broke out that popular writer and character actor Vela Ramamoorthy has been approached to play the role. He is widely known for his novel, 'Kuttra Parambarai'. Yesterday, Vela Ramamoorthy reacted to the reports of him joining the star cast of Ethirneechal.
Vela Ramamoorthy stated, "After the death of Marimuthu, the channel initiated talks with me to do that character. But now I am busy with movies. Even now, I am shooting for a film. I don't know if I have time to act in the serial. The shooting for my film roles will be completed after 20th. It is true that the talks are going on to rope me in the soap opera but I haven't made any decisions about it yet."
