In the recently held special Olympic event in Abu Dhabi, India had a great show, with an impressive tally of 368 Gold medals, and the event also had many talents from Tamil Nadu winning medals. An event was conducted in Chennai to felicitate the winners from TN, by the Youth development consortium.

Actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar presided over the event as the chief guest, and when she was asked about cine industry celebrities having any plans to promote the special talents, Varlaxmi said that media must project and focus on them and promote them more, to help them get a better reach, and also said these special talents are the real celebrities.

When one of the reporters questioned her on what was her contribution to help Gomathi Marimuthu, who had recently won gold medal in the Asian Athletics championships in Doha, Varalaxmi responded that she got to know of the help done by GV Prakash, and as the reporter further questioned on what she contributed, Varalaxmi instantly questioned him back on what the reporter contributed, and as he responded that he had not contributed, Varalaxmi gave a fitting reply that they should stop questioning only celebrities, and they must first contribute before questioning others.
