Legendary comedian Vadivelu, after dabbling in politics and giving a string of flops as hero has been in and out of the limelight for more than a decade. However he played a serious character in Mari Selvaraj's 'Maamannan' that turned out to be a blockbuster hit. Now more producers and directors are approaching the talented veteran for new movies.
Meanwhile there are reports that Kamal Haasan who is producing several films with leading heroes has roped in Vadivelu for a poltical film. It is worth mentioning that Vadivelu's career graph took off after Kamal wrote a special character Esakki in 'Devar Magan' and they share a close bond. A couple of years when Vadivelu was facing trouble due to red card by the Producer Council, it was Kamal who announced that he will be playing a major role in his film 'Thalaivan Irukinran' with A.R. Rahman's music. The project never took off after that.
It has already been reported that 'KH 233' directed by H. Vinoth is actually a rewritten version of 'Thalaivan Irukinran'. We have to wait if Vadivelu has been recast in this project or a brand new one. Stay tuned.
