After 18 years Mani Ratnam’s special movie release date announced

Mani Ratnam under his banner Madras Talkies is simultaneously producing the epic ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ helmed by him and ‘Vaanam Kottattum’ for which he has written the screenplay and his former associate Dhana is directing.  The release date of the film was already announced as February 7th in the trailer and now it has been once again reconfirmed.

Mani Ratnam has directed most of the films that he has produced and ‘Vaanam Kottattum’ comes eighteen years after ‘Five Star’ directed by Suri Ganesan which he served only as a producer.  The film has Vikram Prabhu and Aishwarya Rajesh as the lead pair playing siblings while Madonna Sebastian, Shantanu Bhagyaraj, Sarathkumar, Radhika Sarathkumar and Balaji Shaktivel.  Sid Sriram is making his debut as the music director and the songs are already a hit.
