Unexpected big updates on Suriya-Vetrimaaran's 'Vaadivasal'

Suriya's latest movie 'Etharkkum Thunindhavan' produced by Sun Pictures and directed by Pandiraj is running succesffully in theaters. He is all set to produce and star in a new movie directed by Bala which reportedly has Atharvaa, Kriti Shetty, Jyothika and Aishwarya Rajesh in the cast.
Meanwhile the big question on the anbana fans minds is when Suriya's magnum opus 'Vaadivasal' will begin. The film directed by Vetrimaaran and produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu was announced several months back. The ace filmmaker has already stated in interviews that the project needs extensive pre-production especially the training of the bulls is essential.
According to sources hundreds of Jallikattu bulls from all over Tamil Nadu are being gathered in Chennai for a test shoot and a dozen among them will be chosen to portray the important characters in the film. Principal photography will take several more months after that is what we hear.
The other big update is that singer-composer-actor Karunaas has joined 'Vaadivasal' as an assistant director. He has released a statement in which he has said that his love for Tamil and Tamil culture is what drove him to make the decision. He added that in this massive project he will serve Vetrimmaran just like how the proverbial squirrel which helped Ram in Ramayanan.
'Vaadivasal' also has Ameer sharing screen space with Suriya while G.V. Prakash Kumar is scoring the music and Velraj is the DOP. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project.
