Vijay Deverakonda-Tharun Bhascker’s ‘Pelli Choopulu’ (2016) has been remade in Hindi as ‘Mitron’. Its trailer is out. Starring Jackky Bhagnani as Jai and Kritika Kamra as Avni, the film is set in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad.
The hero’s decision of “choosing an unprofitable career path doesn’t go down too well with his father (Neeraj Sood), who has bigger aspirations for him. Therefore, in order to bring stability in his life, his father decides to get him married. Destiny, however, has something else in store for Jai, when he accidentally meets Avni, an ambitious, MBA graduate, who wants to start her own business,” the film’s official synopsis says.
The characters played by Priyadarshi and others in the original have been retained with some additions and subtractions. However, the beat is different in Hindi. ‘Mitron’ is loud, unlike its Telugu cousin. Writer Sharib Hashmi has surely made some changes while retaining the essence.
Directed by Nitin Kakkar, ‘Mitron’ will hit the screens on September 14.
