The KCR government on Friday had a soothing piece of news for the Telugu film industry. The seating capacity has now been raised to 100% in theatres and multiplexes all across Telangana.
The Government Order comes just days after the Union Ministry of Home Affairs enhanced the seating capacity from 50%. States such as Maharashtra have held themselves back from implementing the decision. However, with Telangana continuing to witness fewer new coronavirus cases (like most of the States in the country), the enhancement has been implemented.
Theatres have been instructed to practise the Standard Operating Procedures prescribed by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting while allowing 100% capacity.
The announcement comes as a booster shot for the new releases. The likes of ‘Zombie Reddy’ and upcoming titles such as ‘Uppena’ will make the most out of it.
