Govt should not be corporate collaborators – Vetrimaaran’s strong statement on farmers Protest!

India has been on the world radar for the last few weeks, following the protests by farmers all over the country against central government policies which are against the farmers welfare. 

This issue evoked reactions from international icons such as singer Rihanna, Mia Khalifa and many global icons who tweeted in support of farmers protest. Following GV Prakash, now director Vetrimaaran has given a strong statement on farmers Protest.

Vetrimaaran has posted “Protest is the expression of a People who are not heard otherwise.The power of governance is given to the  Government by the People. It should protect the interest of the People. not act as corporate collaborators. Farmers are trying to defend the Spirit of the nation. Protesting for their rights and supporting the protest is democracy.”
