The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) retired Chief Priest, Ramana Deekshitulu is raising a storm by alleging that the management board of the world’s richest religious temple is indulging in malpractices. Talking to media in Chennai, Ramana laments the fact that politicians, film actors and rich industrialists are given preference and the poor are being ignored by the temple officers.
Another shocking allegation is that treasures buried in the temple under a kitchen room worth crores have been removed. Age old jewels offered by Kings and Queens are missing and a rare diamond the officers had claimed to be broken by coins thrown on the statue has been sold abroad. Ramana Deekshitulu is demanding a CBI enquiry on the TTD so that the truth may come out.
