Tiffany Haddish recently shared insights about her arrest in Beverly Hills when she fell asleep behind the wheel, leading to a citation for driving under the influence. In a new interview, she expressed her intention to seek guidance following the incident.
"I’m going to seek help to understand balance and boundaries," Haddish mentioned to ET, ensuring such an occurrence won't repeat itself.
Prior to the incident, Haddish had been volunteering at The Laugh Factory on Thanksgiving, assisting underprivileged individuals and performing a comedy routine. She addressed the arrest humorously during a performance at The Laugh Factory in Long Beach, California, saying, "What happened last night? Ah, damn. You tell me. I don’t know."
Making light of the situation, she joked, "I prayed to God to send me a man with a job, preferably in a uniform." Continuing with humor, she expressed gratitude, stating, "God answered my prayers because God believes in me."
This wasn't the first instance of Haddish facing a similar situation. In 2022, she was involved in a DUI situation in Georgia and later mentioned it humorously on The Tonight Show with Fallon. "I've been praying to God to send me a new man. A good man. And God went ahead and sent me four… in uniform," she amusingly shared with Fallon.
She continued in a lighthearted tone, "And now I got a really great lawyer, and we’re going to work it out. I’ve got to get my asking of things to God a little better!"
