‘Thunivu’ vs ‘Varisu’ – Are these the confirmed FDFS timings?

The entire South Indian film industry and movie fans are eagerly waiting for the biggest clash of the titans in recent years.  Yes! Ajith Kumar’s ‘Thunivu’ and Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Varisu’ are locking horns at the worldwide box office on Pongal 2023.  Though not announced it is more or less confirmed that both the films will hit the screens on Thursday, January 12th.

News has broken out that major theaters in Tamil Nadu are planning first day first shows of both the biggies in advance like never before.  According to sources ‘Thunivu’ will have its first show at 1 am on January 12th while ‘Varisu’ will be scheduled at around 5 am.  It is said that utmost care is being taken to ensure that there is no chance given for AK and Thalapathy fans to involve in any kind of physical clashes at the venues.  Accordingly even the shows of the movie in the first few days will be scheduled in such a way as well.

‘Thunivu’ is directed by H. Vinoth and produced by Boney Kapoor with Ghibran scoring the music.  The film has Ajith, Manju Warrier and Samuthirakani in lead roles.  On the other hand ‘Varisu’ is produced by Dil Raju and is directed by Vamshi Paidipally with music by Thaman.   The film has Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna as the lead pair with an ensemble cast in supporting roles.
