The ‘VIP’ franchise to live on: Dhanush

'VIP-2', sequel to 'Raghuvaran B.Tech', is up for release on July 28th.  Dhanush has penned the action-comedy-drama's story and screenplay,  directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth.

Speaking about the sequel in the press meet held in Chennai, Dhanush said, "The first part was a big hit. All the characters in the film, including the moped I used in the film, became the favorites of both Tamil and Telugu audiences. I did not want to leave those characters with just one film. But getting a story-line for a sequel was very challenging as the first part ended on a happy note. It is during the shooting of 'Kodi' ('Dharma Yogi' in Telugu) in Pollachi that I got the spark and started writing the second part".

Dhanush also revealed that he has plans to make 'VIP 3' and 'VIP 4 and continue the 'VIP' franchise for years.
