Tharun Gopi, who is aiming a comeback with 'Veri', a sequel to 'Thimiru', has said he lost his family due to his struggle to establish himself in cinema. "This film is the outcome of my pain," he said.

"After I donned the greasepaint in 'Muthukku Muthaga', I decided to became a full-time actor. But a couple of my acting ventures, including 'Pechiyakka Marumagan', did not see the light of the day. All my efforts went in vain," he said.

"Finally, I have made 'Veri' by putting all my efforts. But this will be last acting venture as I have decided not to stand before camera anymore. MKy real life experiences are there in this film," he added.
