Finally, the official trailer and release date of the Thalapathy Vijay starrer 'Varisu' was unveiled by the makers yesterday. As per the official report, the Tamil & Telugu trailers garnered more than 32 million real-time views with more than 1.8 million likes in 24 hours on Youtube accumulatively.

The team hosted a lavish audio launch ceremony for the Tamil songs of Varisu in Chennai, before Christmas. Meanwhile, we already updated you that a grand pre-release event for the Telugu version, 'Vaarasudu', will be held in Hyderabad. Now, the latest buzz is that the team has planned the promotional event in an open ground on January 8 (Sunday).

The cast and crew of the movie would be present at the event including director Vamshi Paidipally and producer Dil Raju. Some sources say that Thalapathy Vijay will be present at the event and Pawan Kalyan will be the chief guest. There is no official confirmation regarding this. The movie is set to storm the cinemas on January 11 (Wednesday).

Rashima Mandanna is playing the heroine and Prakash Raj is reuniting with Vijay as the villain after 14 years. The film's star cast also comprises Sarathkumar, Shaam, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, SJ Suryah, Khushbu and many others. Thaman scored music for the film with visuals by Karthik Palani and cuts by Praveen KL.
