Thaman, who recently won National Award for 'Ala Vaikuntapurramuloo', has now composed the musical score for Sivakarthikeyan starrer 'Prince' and Thalapathy Vijay starrer 'Varisu'. Now, the latest is that he has confirmed that the 'Varisu' first single will be released on Diwali.

Thaman took part in the Prince pre-release event in Hyderabad yesterday as the movie is slated to be released on Friday. Talking at the function, he said, "Me and cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa are shooting for one song in Vijay sir's film, which we are releasing for Diwali. He's shooting with me. I am announcing this for the first time on this stage."

Thaman and his team will be shooting for the promotional music video of the 'Varisu' first single today. The 'Varisu' team is currently shooting the final song sequence in a film city in Chennai. Director Vamshi Paidipally has planned to wrap up the entire filming by the end of the month. The movie will hit the screens on Pongal 2023.
