Thalapathy Vijay is known for his casual acting, lightning dance steps, fiery stunts and that naughty gimmicks in comedy in front of the camera as an actor.  He is equally an accomplished singer who has many a hit to his credit with the recent one being "Verithanam' from his upcoming Diwali release 'Bigil'.

Thalapathy Vijay has the unique distinction of being the only actor in Tamil cinema and probably in the country to have crooned for three generations of music composers.  The mass hero has worked with Ilayaraja, Deva, Sirpi, Vidyasagar and S.A. Rajkumar of the older generation.  In the middle times of his career Vijay has sung for Yuvan Shankar Raja, A.R. Rahman, Harris Jayaraj, D.Imman, Devi Sri Prasad and Srikanth Deva.

The Thalapathy has now collaborated in music with the current generation of composers G.V. Prakash Kumar, Anirudh Ravichander and Santhosh Narayanan.  Well that sure is a record that is rare in Indian cinema.

Thalapathy Vijay's next release is 'Bigil' on Diwali 2019 directed by Atlee and produced by AGS Entertainment with A.R. Rahman scoring the music and Nayanthara playing the female lead.
