Thalapathy Vijay and his fans have a habit of making new records. While the fans are creating records on Vijay's new Instagram page, the actor's upcoming film 'Leo' is setting new heights for Tamil cinema in trade. The mega-actioner directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj keeps getting bigger.
According to the latest reports, the overseas rights of LEO have been bagged by Phars Films, for a towering price of 60 crores. This is almost double the price of Vijay's previous best, Varisu (32 crores). Sources say that this is the highest overseas trade in Tamil and the second highest in South India only behind Prabhas and director Prashant Neel's 'Salaar'.
On the other hand, the new schedule of the Leo shooting is all set to commence tomorrow (April 5) in Chennai. The scenes involving Vijay will be shot in this leg of filming before the team moves to Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad for the final stage of shooting. Recently, one of the film's producers hinted at the first look poster release on June 22.
The movie also stars Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Priya Anand, Mysskin, Gautham Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, Mathew Thomas, Sandy, and many others. Anirudh is composing the musical score for the film with DOP by Manoj Paramahamsa and editing by Philomin Raj. Produced by 7 Screen Studio and The Route, Leo will hit the screens worldwide on October 19.
