Top commercial director Atlee after his debut movie 'Raja Rani' went on to make three consecutive films with Thalapathy Vijay namely 'Theri', 'Mersal' and 'Bigil' that had him playing eight different characters that were all fan favorites.

Now Atlee is touted to reunite with Vijay for 'Thalapathy 68' and he has more or less confirmed what the film could well be. On Tuesday Amazon Prime Video India posted a query on Twitter along with a clip of Vijay's famous "Bigillllllllllllluuuuuu" dialogue from Atlee's 'Bigil'. The admin wrote "imagine a full film made only for the story of Rayappan ".

Atlee was quick to reply "Senjittaaaaa pochuuuuu….." that has resulted in Thalapathy fans celebrating big on social media. There is super excitement in the air as it is common knowledge that Atlee is one hardcore fan of Vijay. If this can be taken as a hint then 'Thalapathy 68' could well turn out to be the prequel to 'Bigil' and will show the rise of Rayappan as the undisputed don of North Chennai. Lets wait and watch how this one moves forward.

'Aflee' is currently directing Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan in 'Lion' that has music by A.R. Rahman with Nayanthara and Priyamani as the leading ladies. Vijay on the other hand has completed a major schedule of 'Thalapathy 66' directed by Vamshi Paidipally that has ensemble cast of Rashmika Mandanna, Prabhu, Jayasudha, Sarathkumar, Srikanth, Shaam, Prakash Raj, Samyuktha, Sangeetha and Yogi Babu.

Vijay is likely to begin shooting for 'Thalapathy 67' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj by the end of this year. Atlee's 'Thalapathy 68/Rayappan' is likely to go on floors in mid 2023.
