It is the birth anniversary of actress turned former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalitha fondly known as Puratchi Thalaivi by her followers. The iconic leader’s biopic is being made under the title ‘Thalaivi’ directed by Vijay and produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shailesh R Singh.
On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Jayalalitha it has been announced that ‘Thalaivi’ will be releasing on April 23rd worldwide. The film has Tamil, Hindi and Telugu versions and is one of the much anticipated among the upcoming biggies.
Kangana Ranaut plays Jayalalitha in ‘Thalaivi’ while Arvind Swamy appears as MGR, Madhubala as V.N. Janaki, Prakash Raj as M. Karunanidhi, Jisshu Sengupta as Sobhan Babu, Poorna as V. K. Sasikala, Bhagyashree as Sandhya (Jayalalithaa’s mother) and Samuthirakani as R. M. Veerappan.
