Now it has been confirmed that Thala Ajith's 'Viswasam' will be hitting the screens on January 10, 2019, four days ahead of the Pongal festival to cash in on the long weekend and the festive mood.

This means 'Viswasam' has a strong connection with Ajith and director Siva's previous films 'Veeram' and 'Vedalam'. All the three films release on the 10th date of a month in the respective years.

'Veeera' which marked the first ever combination of Ajith and Siva released on January 10, 2014 and 'Vedalam' the second film of the duo released for Diwali festival on November 10, 2015.

Interestingly 'Veeram' clashed with Thalapathy Vijay's 'Jilla' which released on the same day. Now ''Viswasam' which is another Pongal release of the actor-director duo will be clashing with none other than Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Petta' which will also be releasing on January 10, 2019.
