Amitav Teja is the son of senior director Teja of 'Nuvvu Nenu' fame. Earlier today, a film titled 'Vikramaditya' was launched. The news is that Amitav is its male lead.

We learn that the 'Jayam' director, who has handled newcomers with elan in the 2000s, is looking at launching his son with an epic love story that is tailor-made to suit the tastes of all sections of the audience. "Teja knows his son's strengths in and out. He has sketched a smart character for Amitav in keeping with the changing times. The youngster is not only good-looking but is also a skilled actor," a source says.

'Vikramaditya', which went on the floors today, is being produced by Nallamalupu Srinivas (Bujji) on a prestigious scale. Releasing the title poster, in which we see the images of the lead pair in the shape of clouds, the makers hinted that the film is going to be a classic love tale set in the year 1836.

Usually, newcomers don't debut in period dramas. Amitav is gutsy and his father is innovative.
