Days after actress Taapsee Pannu allegedly made fun of veteran Tollywood filmmaker K Raghavendra Rao's "obsession" with the midriff, speaking to a national daily, she stood by her comments.
Latest, she has released a video statement, in which the 'Arrambam' actress has for the first time apologised in case somebody has been hurt by what she said. "Seeing the messages and tweets, I have thought about what wrong did I say. I made fun of myself. I was talking about how unfit I was for this industry, how clueless I was back then (when she debuted in Telugu with 'Jhummandi Nadam')," she said.
"What is important is how is the person in question feeling about it," she added. Recently, she was quoted saying by a newspaper that KRR and his family simply laughed listening to the comments.
"I really want to apologize if I had hurt anybody. I was making fun of myself. It's a great thing to laugh at your own self. Rao garu is such an important person in my journey. I can never forget that I started from his film," Taapsee said.
