Ravi Mohan’s Candid Speech: “Never Lose Your Self-Respect”

The audio launch of Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara and starring Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa, and Sreeleela, was held grandly in Chennai. Produced by Dawn Pictures, the film—set against the backdrop of the 1965 anti-Hindi imposition agitations—is scheduled for release on January 10, 2026, during Pongal.

At the event, actor Ravi Mohan, who plays the antagonist, delivered a heartfelt speech: “Parasakthi is pure gold created through the hard work of many. I have strong belief that it will be one of the best films of this year. Sivakarthikeyan started from stages like this with nothing and has reached this level—he truly deserves it all. He needs to climb even bigger stages, and fans must stand by him.

Usually, it’s said that a woman feels safe where good men are present. But for the first time, I felt safe in the presence of a woman (director Sudha Kongara). Producer Aakash Bhaskaran standing alone against obstacles will bring him great success. Many tried to extinguish this fire (Parasakthi) from outside—it’s not a dangerous fire, but the sacred flame lit before God.

Many asked why I’m playing a villain in this film. There were only two reasons: Sudha’s story and Sudha herself. Now, looking back at that decision, I have no regrets—only happiness. You’ve seen me as a hero for so long; from now on, you’ll see me as a villain.

This film protects self-respect. I’ve also tried to protect my self-respect in life. I don’t care about those who stab in the back. I only worry about those in front of me. As a brother to everyone, I say: never lose your self-respect. Keep that in mind, and you can live as a good person in this world.”

Ravi Mohan’s speech received thunderous applause at the event. The historical political drama, based on the 1965 anti-Hindi agitations, has generated massive anticipation among fans for the Pongal release.
