Earlier on Friday, ‘Sye Raa’ heroically broke into the Rs 50 Cr club (Share) in the Telugu States. After collecting Rs 10.10 Cr on Day 2 (Thursday), the Chiranjeevi-starrer is doing well on Day 3 in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
“The film clearly held its ground after a humongous Day 1. It’s a high-stakes film and it can’t afford to lose the market. It has to do better than expected and earn huge amounts in the coming days. Saturday, Sunday and later, it has to mop up crazy numbers if the distributors have to be safe,” a source tells us.
As reported already, the historical-fictional movie needs to do more than Rs 150 Cr (worldwide) in Telugu alone. Given that the business is dull in the US, doubts linger.
