In 'Suzhal: The Vortex', a schoolgirl named Nila is abducted. Her elder sister has to trace her against all odds. She is facing the wrath of a system.
The eight-episode investigative thriller will stream on Amazon Prime Video from June 17. Its trailer makes it clear that both Aishwarya Rajesh and Kathir have got pivotal, complex, layered roles in this rollercoaster, dark thriller.
Written, produced and created by Pushkar & Gayathri, the web series is directed by Bramma (first four episodes) and Anucharan M (second four episodes). Nivedhithaa Sathish, Harish Uthaman, and Santhana Bharathi have played other key roles.
Also a crime thriller, the series delves into something that threatens the cultural and societal fabric of the small industrial town in which it is set. A unique micro-festival and the ancient myths associated with a tradition form an esoteric backdrop.
The web series is going to stream in multiple Indian and foreign languages in more than 240 countries. Amazon Prime has come out with a regional language long-form series for the first time in India. The Tamil original is dubbed into Telugu.
