Actress Jyothika was last seen on screen in the commercially successful Kaatrin Mozhi, and is now acting in a number of movies like Ratchasi, Jackpot and few more movies. Of these the first to be released is going to be Ratchasi, which has been announced as a July release.

Ratchasi is directed by debutant Sy.Gowthamraj and is produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, and revolves around a government school teacher Geetharani who fights against various challenges she faces in developing the school. The movie has music scored by Sean Roldan.

The audio of Ratchasi was released recently and it has been revealed that one of the songs in the album "Nee En Nanbane" has been sung by Suriya and Karthi's sister Brinda Sivakumar. The song has been penned by Yugabharathi. Prior to this song, Brinda had sung the theme song of Mr Chandramouli along with Sam CS last year.
