High Court quashes case against Suriya and other actors

In the year 2009 a leading Tamil magazine published an article in which actresses were portrayed in a bad light. A meeting was convened to condemn this by the then Nadigar Sangam President Sarathkumar in which actors Sathyaraj, Vivek, Vijayakumar, Suriya, Arun Vijay, Cheran and Sri Priya spoke against the press persons.

Journalist Rozario Maria Soosai filed a case in the Ooty Court but all the eight actors did not appear for any of the hearing. The court issued a non bailable warrant against the eight actors for which the High Court issued an interim order that stopped execution of the same.  Suriya and the others had filed another petition in the High Court praying for dismissal of the case which came up for hearing today. The High Court has squashed the case and have issued the orders bringing relief to the busy actors.
