Suriya's upcoming film 'Soorarai Pottru' is one of the most anticipated biggies in the year which has been delayed by the coronavirus pandemic. Fans are now hoping that updates in the form of singles or trailers to arrive on Suriya's birthday which falls on 23rd July. The film directed by Sudha Kongara and produced by 2D Entertainment with music score by G.V. Prakash has Suriya, Mohan Babu, Jackie Shroff, Paresh Rawal and Aparna Balamurali in the cast.

We have the hot news that Suriya has now signed on to play the lead role in a new movie directed by Pandiraj and produced by Sun Pictures. He has already produced 'Kadaikutty Singam' with Pandiraj as director and brother Karthi as the hero which turned out to be a blockbuster hit. He had also promised the director that he would join hands with him and it has now come to fruition. Official confirmation is awaited on this one pretty soon.

It is said that the Suriya-Pandiraj project could be the first to go on floors after the lockdown and only after that he would allot dates for 'Aruvaa' directed by Hari and 'Vaadi Vaasal' directed by Vetrimaaran. However this is not confirmed and it will be known only after the lockdown.

Suriya has also committed to a supporting role as a lawyer in a new movie that he is producing which will be directed by Gnanavel of 'Kootathil Oruthan' fame. Adding to this is his OTT debut for Mani Ratnam's Madras Talkies titled 'Navarasa' which will be directed by Jayendra of '180' fame. One thing is clear the Anbana Suriya fans are going to have a lot to cheer for in the coming months.
