Suriya recently opted out of a much-anticipated film Vanangaan with director Bala. Though the news broke the hearts of many of his fans, now the latest update on one of his shelved projects might interest Suriya's anbaana fans.
In 2020, Suriya announced his film 'Aruvaa' with director Hari. The official announcement was also made regarding this film. The film went on floors, with a puja ceremony. Due to reasons still not known, Aruvaa was shelved at the last moment.
The latest reports suggest that Suriya is planning to work on the film, as he feels this will be the right time for the action drama. 'Aruvaa' is touted to be a dual action drama and Suriya was said to be playing a dual role as twin brothers. Rashi Khanna and POoja Hegde are expected to be playing the lead ladies.
Hari and Suriya’s pairing is known for several films like the Singam franchise, Vel and Aaru. The first instalment of Singam was highly successful with Hari becoming the recipient of the Edison award for a best commercial film. The second instalment also struck a chord with the audience. Singam 3 was not very successful compared to the first two parts.
