We all know that Suriya gifted director Vignesh Shivn with a brand new luxury car post the success of ‘Thaana Serndha Koottam’. Suriya is also known to do the same to his previous directors such as Hari and Pandiraj as well.

However seems like popular producer Sashikanth(think ‘Vikram Vedha’) has expressed his discontent with the trend, criticizing and stating that such things shouldn’t be publicized. Though the producer did not mention the actor's name, it seems like the target of the jab is pretty obvious. 

Rajasekar Pandian, Director and co-Producer of Suriya’s production firm 2D Entertainment  took to his social page to express his views about the same. “A producer who has failed to pay the salaries in full of the actor and director of his film is talking about gifts!! What an irony!! Hilarious!” he stated.
